On the 7th day of May, 2024, at the Sangguniang Bayan Session Hall, MS. KRISYNTHIA RAQUEL C. PADER, Head of the Office of the Secretary to the Sanggunian, was presented with a well-deserved Certificate of Appreciation and Recognition by the Liga ng mga Punong Barangay, under the leadership of ABC President Hon. John Lester T. Tan. Commending her outstanding achievements and unwavering dedication to public service. Her exemplary leadership serves as an inspiration to us all. Let us continue to build upon her legacy and work together towards the advancement of our barangays and municipality.

BARANGAY COACHING COMPLETION - 20 BARANGAYS OF MARAMAG

𝑪𝒐𝒏𝒈𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒖𝒍𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔 𝒕𝒐 𝒂𝒍𝒍 20 𝒃𝒂𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒂𝒚𝒔 𝒐𝒇 𝑴𝒂𝒓𝒂𝒎𝒂𝒈 for successfully completing the Office of the Secretary to the Sanggunian Barangay Coaching seminar-workshop on "Barangay Empowerment: Strengthening Parliamentary Procedures and Systems Enhancement"! This initiative focused on enhancing local legislation and governance by empowering local barangay legislators with fundamental knowledge of legislative measures and parliamentary procedures.

The seminar-workshop provided valuable insights and practical training aimed at improving the effectiveness and efficiency of local governance. Participants gained essential skills in drafting resolutions, ordinances, and implementing local ordinances to conducting transparent and accountable meetings, and fostering participatory decision-making processes within their communities.

We commend all barangay officials and barangay secretaries, and staff for their dedication to continuous learning and commitment to serving their communities with excellence. Your efforts in strengthening local governance are vital in ensuring inclusive and sustainable development for all residents of Maramag. Let's continue  to enhance, educate, engage and strengthen together to build stronger and more empowered barangays!

BLESS MONTHLY MEETING

Maanyag Maramag!

The Office of the Secretary to the Sanggunian attended the BLESS Monthly Meeting last Friday, April 26, 2024, at 9:00 AM at Uno Business Hotel & Cafe in Valencia City, Bukidnon.

The main highlight of the meeting was the sharing of experiences from each municipality's Barangay Newly Elected Officials (BNEO) event. Most of the secretaries expressed that the time allocated for the BNEO event was insufficient, considering its importance for each barangay to enhance and learn.

Overall, the BLESS meeting concluded successfully after productive discussions on the agenda items.

MONTHLY CONVOCATION & MAYOR BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION

MAANYAG MARAMAG!

The Office of the Secretary to the Sanggunian, alongside the Vice Mayor's Office, Sangguniang Bayan Office, Municipal Circuit Trial Court, and Public Attorney's Office, sponsored a lively Convocation Program for the month of April, 2024. The program featured Accomplishment Reports from each office, followed by a message from the Municipal Vice Mayor Atty. Maribeth E. Lopez. After the official proceedings, a hilarious early birthday celebration was held for the Municipal Mayor Atty. Jose Joel P. Doromal. The celebration included comedic  intermissions, humorous video presentations, and funny gifts that filled the hall with laughter throughout. Mayor Doromal expressed his gratitude to the municipality's workforce, which later brought him to an emotional state, wishing his late parents could witness his achievements. The event concluded on a high note, with active participation from all involved. To God be the Glory! Maanyag Maramag!

The Office of the Secretary to the Sanggunian of Maramag, Bukidnon attended the "𝘿𝙄𝙂𝙄𝙏𝘼𝙇 𝙍𝙀𝘾𝙊𝙍𝘿𝙎 𝙈𝘼𝙉𝘼𝙂𝙀𝙈𝙀𝙉𝙏" Seminar held at Goldberry Suites & Hotel Cebu Barangay Pusok, Lapu-lapu City which was hosted and coordinated by PRN Quality Training and Seminar Links Inc. last February 5-9, 2024 with the Speaker/Mentor 𝗗𝗮𝗻 𝗥𝗶𝗰𝗸𝘆 𝗢𝗻𝗴, 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝘁. 𝗦𝗕 𝗦𝗲𝗰 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗴𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗹𝘂𝗻𝗴𝘀𝗼𝗱, 𝗕𝗮𝗴𝘂𝗶𝗼 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 sharing his knowledge in using MS Access to digitize paper related works to make things easier and more accessible in this modern age of technology.

UPDATING OF THE LEGISLATIVE AGENDA

The Office of the Secretary to the Sanggunian successfully conducted the "UPDATING OF THE LEGISLATIVE AGENDA" spearheaded by the Legislative Division last January 16, 2024 at the Legislative Building, SB Session Hall attended by the Municipal Vice Mayor Atty. Maribeth S. Estrella-Lopez together with the Sangguniang Bayan Members.

The Office of the Secretary to the Sanggunian attended the BLESS Monthly Meeting and Christmas Party last December 22, 2023 held at SB Session Hall, Kalilangan, Bukidnon. The meeting was organized by the SB Secretary of Kalilangan, Mr. Jorie O. Padsing with the support of his municipality and staff.

2-DAY SEMINAR-WORKSHOP ON STRATEGIZING THE LEGISLATIVE SECRETARIAT

The Office of the Secretary to the Sanggunian conducted their 3-DAY SEMINAR-WORKSHOP ON LEGISLATIVE AGENDA UPDATING AND OFFICE TARGET SETTING in Panglao, Bohol last November 14-17, 2023 together with the Municipal Vice Mayor Atty. Maribeth S. Estrella-Lopez and her office staff accompanied by Sangguniang Bayan Members, Hon. Estrella Cuadrasal and Hon. Lorraine Laurie.

On October 25 to 27, 2023, the Office of the Secretary to the Sanggunian participated in the PLEASES Regional Meeting, which was held at Hotel de Rosa in Baroy, Lanao del Norte. They also conducted benchmarking activities at the Sangguniang Panlalawigan in Lanao del Norte and took a quick tour on the Mindanao Civic Center Sports Complex Grounds.

The monthly meeting of Bukidnon League of Secretaries to the Sanggunian (BLESS) Office took place on October 24, 2023, at D' Rock Cafe in Damulog, Bukidnon. Following the meeting, the Secretaries paid a visit to Ma'am Nena Diez, the former Secretary to the Sanggunian of Damulog, and held a prayer service in her home to honor her late husband, Pepito Hilot Diez.

123rd PHILIPPINE CIVIL SERVICE ANNIVERSARY (PSCA) CELEBRATION

The Office of the Secretary to the Sanggunian together with the Sanggunian Bayan Members and Office of the Vice Mayor participates in the Local Government Unit of Maramag's 123rd PHILIPPINE CIVIL SERVICE ANNIVERSARY (PCSA) Celebration. This event commenced with a parade from the Municipal Plaza, in Maramag Centro, concluding at the Municipal Gymnasium where the main program took place with the Theme: "Empowering Public Service in the Upcoming Decade: Cultivating Agile and Future-Ready Public Servants."

The Office of the Secretary to the Sanggunian demonstrated exceptional effort and confidence, earning the 2nd Place in the Modern Dance Competition. To all the members, your achievement fills us with immense pride!

On the 18th of August, 2023, which was last Friday, the Office of the Secretary to the Sanggunian took part in the BLESS OFFICERS MEETING held at The Uno Hotel in Valencia City, Bukidnon. The main focus of the meeting was to rectify and enhance the BLESS By-Laws, with the intention of unveiling these revisions to the members during the next monthly gathering.

Last July 28, 2023, the Office of the Secretary to the Sanggunian participated in the BLESS Monthly meeting, which took place at the sponsored venue: MGG RESORT in Lumagwas, Adtuyon, Pangantucan, Bukidnon. The event was organized by Pangantucan SB Secretary Jerome B. Borres, and it received substantial backing from the municipality, resulting in a successful meeting.
